These ballots were sent out to the membership and results from completed ballots were collected and compiled by each nation's representatives. The results were compiled by the International Secretary.

Hi Contender sailors

Two proposals for Contender rule changes were approved at Annual General Meetings (AGM) by 2/3 majorities. Following approval at the AGM the proposals must be submitted to a World Wide Postal Ballot. These ballots were sent to representatives of the nations eligible to vote in very early March 2006.

These ballots were sent out to the membership and results from completed ballots were collected and compiled by each nation's representatives. The results were compiled by the International Secretary.

Rules change proposals require 2/3 of ballots cast in order to take effect.

Both rule changes  passed.

Rule 22: Propulsion (pumping flag)

147 votes were cast

126 in favour - 85.7%.

21 opposed - 14.3%

Rule 4.2 Sail Numbering (using plaque number as a sail number)

143 votes were cast

101 in favour - 70.6%.

42 opposed - 29.4 %

ISAF have made some wee changes, and then approved our rule changes.

The changed rules are now published on our web site and may be downloaded and printed.
